          NOTICE OF REFERENDUM

 

The Electors and Qualified Taxpayers of the Town of Griswold are hereby notified and warned that a Referendum will be conducted on Tuesday May 24, 2016 for a YES or NO vote on the Optical Scan Voting Machines on the following questions:

 

QUESTION #1

 

SHALL THE TOWN OF GRISWOLD APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $7,148,179 FOR THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017?

 

QUESTION #2

 

SHALL THE TOWN OF GRISWOLD APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $26,048,442 FOR THE BOARD OF EDUCATION BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017?

 

 

Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in both Voting Districts:

 

FIRST DISTRICT:  Griswold Town Hall, 28 Main Street, Griswold, CT

SECOND DISTRICT: Pachaug Town Hall, 879 Voluntown Road, Griswold, CT

 

Absentee ballots for the Referendum will be available in person only, in the Office of the Town Clerk during regular office hours.

LEGAL NOTICE AND INVITATION TO BID

BID #16-02

 

 

 

The Town of Griswold on behalf of the Griswold Volunteer Fire Department is soliciting requests for proposal for a new class “A” pumper truck.

 

There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting held on Wednesday April 27, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the Griswold Vol. Fire Department, 883 Voluntown Rd, Griswold, CT.  Complete proposals are available at the Office of the Director of Finance, Finance Department, Griswold Town Hall, 28 Main St., Griswold, CT  06351.

 

All bids must be sealed and must be received at the Finance Office prior to the due date.  All bids are due no later than Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00 am.  All bids must be in a sealed envelope marked “Class “A” Pumper”.  At 11:05 am on May 20, 2016, the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at the Town Hall.

 

The Town of Griswold reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid procedure or bids when such actions are deemed in the best interests of the Town.
