Our Offices Responsibility to Our Residents:

 

The Office of the Fire Marshal is in charged with the prevention, inspection of equipment and investigation of fires within the Town and Borough.

Please notify the Fire Marshal's office one week prior to the need of their services.

 

The Fire Marshal's office provides the following services:

  • Connecticut Fire Safety Code Inspections
  • Plan reviews on three family and above and commercial buildings
  • Emergency disaster planning
  • Fire prevention
  • Fire Investigations
  • Issues open burning permits
  • Represents emergency services on various projects
  • UST removal documentation
  • Liquor permit inspections
  • Wood stove inspections for all buildings
  • Town ISO coordinator
